The first picture was shared on social media after the farmers’ tractor rally held in Delhi on January 26. The pictures depict the violence that ensued during the rally on Republic Day, according to a BBC report that credits the picture to PTI photo journalist Ravi Choudhary.

We located the second image with the help of Google reverse image search. Shiromani Akali Dal general secretary and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia had tweeted a set of pictures on December 27, 2020, including the viral photo of the injured Sikh man. His tweet said that farmers on their way to participate in the protests at Delhi border met with an accident near Khanna in Punjab.

The incident was also reported by News18 Punjab in a December 28, 2020 report. It said that farmers of Kirti Kisan Union, Wadala were going to participate in the demonstration when they met with a road accident. Kirti Kisan Union too had posted pictures of the accident.
